Dr. Cristina Zurbriggen has a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from the University of Eberhard – Karls, of Tübingen, Germany. At the moment, she is a professor in the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Social Science of the University of the Republic, Uruguay. Likewise, she is a member of the National System of Researchers and the Advisory Council of the South American Institute on Studies about Resilience and Sustainability (Maldonado/Uruguay). Her research has addressed environmental governance and public policy themes, with an emphasis on agricultural policies toward a sustainable transition. Her main interest is based on the laboratories of sustainable transition and the development of methods that support leaders of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary programs to address the future of complex public affairs with social impact. In this frame, Dr. Zurbriggen coordinates the Laboratory for Transitions (T-LAB), SARAS Institute, Uruguay.
