Dr. Nicolas Bricas is a food socio-economist and researcher at CIRAD’s Montpellier Interdisciplinary Center on Sustainable Agri-food Systems (MoISA). He has worked on the effects of urbanization and globalization on food behavior and on food policies in Africa and Asia. For the past few years, he has been studying the conditions for transforming food systems to make them sustainable and coordinated the Advanced Master in Innovations and Policies for Sustainable Food Systems (MS IPAD). Since 2016, he holds the Unesco Chair in World Food System and is a member of the International Panel of Exports on Sustainable Food Systems (IPES-Food).
Dr. Bricas has published a book entitled “Une écologice de l’alimentation” (An ecology of food).
