Raffaele Vignola is professor at Wageningen University where he focuses on the human dimension of climate change adaptation planning in the context of global food and water system challenges. Combining social science theories and environmental assessment tools he develops solution-oriented research and transdisciplinary education with the motivation to help build transformative capacity to address the complexity of those global challenges. He has a BSc in Agronomy Engineer from the University of Florence (Italy), a MSc in Environmental Economics at CATIE and a Science PHD from ETH-Zurich. He founded and led the Chair of Environmental Decisions for Global Change at CATIE, has been a researcher and lecturer at the Environmental Policy Group of Wageningen University, adjunct professor at the Institute for Environment, Resources and Sustainability of the University of British Columbia, Canada, research-affiliate at the Gund Institute for the Environment of the University of Vermont.
